Canton, GA – The Northwest Georgia Breastfeeding Coalition, in partnership with the Georgia Breastfeeding Coalition and the North Georgia Health District’s Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program, is proud to announce the 11th Annual Express Your SuperPower 5K/10K, Fun Run, and Tot Trot. The event will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Etowah River Park and Heritage Park in Canton, Georgia. This race is part of our ongoing campaign for Breastfeeding Awareness and community support of breastfeeding families.

  • 7:00 a.m. – Sign-in and on-site registration opens
  • 8:00 a.m. – Tot Trot begins
  • 8:05 a.m. – Fun Run begins
  • 8:30 a.m. – 5K and 10K races begin
Participants of all ages are invited to run, walk, or trot while celebrating the “superpower” of breastfeeding and supporting families in the community.
 
Event proceeds will benefit the MedMilk Project, a nonprofit program dedicated to providing pasteurized donor human milk to hospitalized infants in need.
 
“This event brings together families, health advocates, and community members for a day of fun and purpose,” said Carol Hendrix, BS, IBCLC, WIC Breastfeeding Coordinator, North Georgia Health District. “By participating, you’re not only enjoying a healthy activity but also helping us raise awareness and support for breastfeeding moms and their babies. The MedMilk Project has a direct impact on infant health, and we are proud that this event contributes to such an important cause.”
 
Awards and Recognition
 
The Express Your SuperPower 5K/10K will feature professional chip timing and awards for the top three overall male and female finishers in both the 5K and 10K races. Additional awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in multiple age categories, ensuring recognition for participants of all ages. Awards will be announced and presented immediately following the completion of the races.
 
The event also offers family-friendly activities, including the Fun Run and Tot Trot, giving children the chance to experience the excitement of race day in a fun and supportive environment.
