RFQ: GENERAL MAINTENANCE & REPAIR SERVICES
A. INTRODUCTION
The Whitfield County Health Department (WCHD) is soliciting quotes from experienced contractors to provide general maintenance and repair services for the facilities located at 800 Professional Boulevard, Dalton, GA 30720. Services will be provided on an as-needed basis, tentatively scheduled to begin July 1, 2024. Responses will be evaluated to determine the best value based on contractor experience and qualifications as well as proposed hourly rate.

B. INSTRUCTIONS TO RESPONDENTS

- Responses must include the following information:
- Proposed hourly rate
- Experience and Qualifications
- Proof of Liability Certificate of Insurance
- References
- The proposed hourly rate must remain valid through June 30, 2025, and should include labor, tools, and routine equipment necessary and appropriate for the performance of services listed below.
C. SCOPE OF WORK
- Contractor must receive the approval of the County Nurse Manager prior to commencing any work in all cases.
- Work will be performed during the health department’s normal operating hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday –7:30 AM -4:30 PM
Tuesday – 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Friday – 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM
During emergencies, work may be required at other than normal business hours.
- Contractor shall be able to perform the tasks listed below:
- Repair plumbing clogs and minor leaks, including sinks and toilets
- Minor wall repairs
- Touch up painting
- Repair damaged floor tiles
- Replace light bulbs
- Move furniture and equipment
- Assemble furniture and equipment
- Install/hang items on walls
- Replace batteries in lobby restroom sinks
