It’s not too late! Vaccination can reduce flu illnesses, doctors’ visits, and missed time from work and school due to the flu and can prevent flu-related hospitalizations.

North Georgia Health District public health departments in Cherokee, Fannin, Gilmer, Murray, Pickens and Whitfield Counties have flu vaccine and no appointment is necessary.

National-Black-HIV-AIDS-Awareness-Day-Carousel-6 Caressa-Cameron-JacksonDalton (GA) - The North Georgia Health District will conduct Free Rapid HIV Testing at Dalton State College on Tuesday, February 9th in the atrium of Peeples Hall from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M. The college is located at 650 College Drive in Dalton.
 
Additional free services will include prevention kits and pre- and post-test counseling.
 
This service is being provided in honor of National Black HIV Awareness Day, held annually on February 7th since 1999. Testing is at the core of this initiative and is critical for prevention of HIV.
